To open and close the globe valve, the force should be stable and not impactful. Some components of high-pressure globe valves for impact opening and closing have considered that this impact force cannot be equated with general globe valves.
When the shut-off valve is fully opened, the handwheel should be reversed a little to make the threads tighter to avoid loosening damage.
When the pipeline is first used, there are many internal dirt, the stop valve can be slightly opened, and the high-speed flow of the medium can be used to flush it away, and then gently close it (not fast closing, sharp closing, in order to prevent residual impurities from pinch the sealing surface), open it again, repeat it many times, flush out the dirt, and then put it into normal work.
Normally open globe valve, there may be dirt stuck on the sealing surface, and it should be washed clean with the above method when closed, and then officially closed.
If the handwheel and handle are damaged or lost, they should be equipped immediately, and cannot be replaced by a live wrench, so as not to damage the valve stem and turn it off, resulting in accidents in production.
Some medium, after the shut-off valve is closed, cooling, so that the valve shrinks, the operator should close it again at the appropriate time, so that the sealing surface does not leave a fine seam, otherwise, the medium flows through the fine slit at high speed, and it is easy to erode the sealing surface.
During operation, if you find that the operation is too strenuous, you should analyze the reason. If the packing is too tight, it can be properly relaxed, if the valve stem is crooked, the personnel should be notified to repair. Some shut-off valves, when closed, the shut-off part is heated and expanded, resulting in difficulty in opening; If it must be opened at this point, the bonnet thread can be loosened half to one turn to relieve the stem stress, and then the brake can be moved.
