An advanced gate valve is a shutoff valve that can be fully opened or fully closed by vertically lifting the gate. Its core function is to reliably cut off the flow of media in the pipeline. It is suitable for working conditions that require bidirectional sealing or frequent opening and closing. The gate valve's opening and closing parts are gates, which move perpendicular to the fluid flow direction. The gate is driven by the valve stem to move along the valve seat axis to form a linear opening and closing action. It has the characteristics of small fluid resistance, straight passage without obstruction, and stable sealing performance. Its sealing surface usually adopts a wedge structure. According to the gate type, it can be divided into rigid gate and elastic gate. The latter compensates for processing errors through micro-deformation to improve sealing reliability.
Zhongguan gate valves are widely used in the fields of petroleum, chemical, water conservancy, and electric power. They are especially suitable for the shutoff needs of large-diameter, high-pressure or particle-containing medium pipelines, but are not suitable for flow regulation. The material selection includes cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel and special lining materials, which can adapt to complex environments such as corrosive and high temperatures.
According to the structure, it can be divided into open stem (exposed lifting stem) and concealed stem (built-in valve stem). The open stem is convenient for observing the opening and closing status, while the concealed stem saves installation space. Modern gate valves reduce impurity accumulation through the flat bottom valve seat design, and enhance durability through the overall rubber coating process. At the same time, it optimizes weight and maintenance convenience, becoming an indispensable basic control component in industrial piping systems.
