Features

The core structure of the Pneumatic Actuated Butterfly Valve consists of three main components that work together to ensure stable valve operation. The specific structure is as follows:


  • Pneumatic Actuator: As the power core of the valve, it comes in single-acting and double-acting types. Made of aluminum alloy, it is lightweight, high-strength, and provides stable output torque. It can be flexibly selected according to the valve diameter and operating conditions, ensuring smooth valve plate rotation and reliable operation. 
  • Butterfly valve body: The valve body is made of cast iron, cast steel or stainless steel, etc. The flow channel is designed to be streamlined and the inner wall is smooth, which can effectively reduce fluid resistance and reduce system energy consumption; the valve plate adopts a circular structure and fits tightly with the valve seat to ensure sealing performance and prevent media leakage.
  • Control accessories: Valve positioners, limit switches, solenoid valves and other accessories can be equipped according to customer needs. Positioners can achieve precise adjustment of valve opening, limit switches can provide real-time feedback on valve operating status, and solenoid valves are used to control the action of actuators to achieve automated control.

I. Drive and Control Features

Flexible Drive Method: Employs single-acting or double-acting pneumatic actuators, selectable according to operating conditions. Single-acting actuators automatically reset via spring force in case of air supply interruption, ensuring system safety.

Precise and Convenient Control: Can be equipped with an intelligent positioner, receiving 4-20mA current signals to achieve continuous adjustment of opening from 0% to 100%, with control accuracy reaching ±0.5%-±1%, suitable for high-precision flow control scenarios.

Fast Response Speed: Valve switching time is only 3-10 seconds. For emergency shut-off scenarios, a fully closed model within 1 second can be customized, far superior to traditional electric valves, suitable for operating conditions requiring rapid response.


II. Sealing and Durability Features

Reliable Sealing Performance: Soft seals or metal seals can be selected according to media characteristics. Soft seals can achieve ANSI Class VI zero leakage, while metal seals can achieve ANSI Class IV, effectively preventing media leakage.

High Durability: The valve body is made of high-quality materials, and the valve plate surface can be coated with hard alloy or ceramic coating as needed, making it wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. The seals are made of high-quality materials, ensuring a long service life and reducing later maintenance costs.

Compact Structure: Small in size and light in weight, weighing only 1/3 to 1/5 of a gate valve of the same diameter, it requires less installation space, is easy to install, and saves installation time and costs.

Low Flow Resistance and Low Energy Consumption: The flow resistance coefficient in the fully open state is ≤0.5, far lower than that of gate valves and globe valves, effectively reducing the energy consumption of pumps, fans, and other power equipment, suitable for high-flow-rate applications.
