Installation Precautions for Concentric Butterfly Valves

During concentric butterfly valves installation, the following precautions should be observed:

(1) Before installation, clean the pipeline, valve interior, sealing surfaces, and all exposed transmission parts to remove dirt and sand, ensuring that the sealing surfaces are not damaged.

(2) Check if all bolts are evenly tightened.

(3) Ensure that the flow direction of the medium matches the valve body’s arrow direction. The centerline butterfly valve has a bidirectional seal.

(4) Select the appropriate electric actuator during installation. The connection between the actuator and the valve should be firm and reliable.

(5) After installing the actuator, ensure the valve opens and closes smoothly.

(6) Regularly lubricate the parts of the actuator and valve that can be lubricated, generally once a month.

(7) For actuators in poor environmental conditions, additional protective devices should be installed.

(8) The lifting sling should not be tied to the actuator or valve stem; it should be placed around the valve body.
