I. Valve Plate Structure Types and Characteristics Concentric Valve Plate (Centerline Butterfly Valve)

Gate valves are used for fluid on-off control in multiple fields and play a role in municipal and industrial scenarios. They have low flow resistance, good sealing, and are suitable for a variety of fluids. They are key equipment in pipeline systems.

While both floating and trunnion ball valves serve the same basic purpose—shutoff control—they differ significantly in structure, sealing mechanism, and application range.

The centerline butterfly valve is symmetrically designed, with the center axis of the valve plate coinciding with the axis of the pipeline. It achieves sealing by the compression deformation of the elastic valve seat (usually rubber).
